Temporary 12 weeks (with probable extension)
An exciting opportunity has arisen with a central/west London council.
1.JOB PURPOSE:
To provide a wide range of support to senior leadership teams and their services to design, plan and deliver change, turning political aspirations and organisational imperatives into desired outcomes in the most cost- effective way.
Our team are involved in a wide range of work, from classical business analysis through to designing and implementing OD interventions
2. DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES:
Defining transformational change requirements
-In collaboration with the business, assist and drive the analysis and diagnosis required to understand the challenge. This may include:
Trend /data, themes analysis & horizon scanning – incorporating previous experiences / lessons from within the organisation and from other organisations and responding to government policy.
Supporting and Delivering Change
-Diagnose, develop and deliver targeted interventions both within services and across councils to help them meet their aims, objectives and goals.
-Provide hands on consultancy support to those delivering change. Diagnose, design suitable approaches and interventions to support the realisation of targeted outcomes.
-Work with stakeholders to ensure effective needs identification, prioritisation of support and consistent communication of activities and benefits.
-Build line manager change capability in using engagement in good practice approaches to managing change – ‘on-the-job’ / intact teams e.g. providing specific packages of support
Supporting & Delivering Portfolios
-Facilitating and contributing to the development of ideas and converting these into business cases to support the decision making and benefits management processes.
-Aiding in the design of suitable approaches and interventions to support the delivery of portfolios and realisation of targeted outcomes.
-Work with influence to help create compelling cases for relevant decision makers to adopt recommendations.
Developing leadership capability
-Help design and provide a range of development interventions which meet leaders and managers needs in close liaison with HR – ensure that this includes development for current and as well as future roles
-Supporting managers’ development re change capability and project management
-Help co-create as appropriate new learning and development activities to up-skill managers and leaders to develop themselves and others and become better at learning.
Business Planning
-Interact with directors and senior managers (who run and manage service planning in line with the framework) provide advice, guidance and facilitation as required.
