Chinese Restaurant Manager - Piccadilly - London - £40-£45k

We are looking for a Restaurant Manager to join the team at this world famous, celebrity hangout Chinese Restaurant in the heart of Piccadilly. You must be energertic, love chinese food, be willing to learn more about it and share that knowledge with the customer.

You must have worked in a Chinese restaurant previously, or with knowledge of Chinese food.

All chefs are from Hong Kong or China, use traditonal ingredients and cooking methods but to the highest standards, and sometimes with a Western twist to suit the local palate. You must have very good english.

Customer service is premium and the clientele are paying for the experience – as such you are expected to respond to their needs, entertain them and explain to them little snippets about the food – it’s history, it’s significance or the story of some of its ingredients.

You will need to recognise the local and regular clientele as well as the celebrities to ensure they are exceptionally well looked after.

It is not essential or a requirement that you are fluent in a Chinese dialect. Presntation is key and you must appear professional at all times.

You must be organised, able to work under times of pressure.

You will be expected to hire, recruit and discipline your restaurant team as neccessary. You must have a good understanding of budgets and figures, and strive to achieve targets and goals set by the General Manager and the company Directors

The Restaurant is open 7 days a week from lunch time until midnight, so early shifts will be around 11am, and late shifts will finish around 1am. You will work 5 shifts out of 7 on a rota basis, Saturdays are exceptionally busy and a key day where you will be expected to work regularly.
