Receptionist



MAIN PURPOSE


To deliver an efficient, friendly and consistently high quality service to all customers.


SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES


  1. To deal with customers in a friendly and professional manner and to ensure the highest level of customer enjoyment and satisfaction, meeting the Customer Service Standards.

  2. To adhere to Mytime Active’s Code of Conduct

  3. To administer course enrolments, bookings using computerised and manual systems.

  4. To monitor admissions of everyone entering the facility and adhere to access control procedures.

  5. To administer the hire equipment and deposit system.

  6. To operate the PA system.

  7. To record and administer the lost property system.

  8. Ensure that all information displayed in the reception area is up to date and regularly restocked.

  9. To keep up to date with Company and local management communications in place in the facility on a daily basis (eg: notice boards, handover file, pigeon holes, e-news).

  10. To ensure company cash handling systems are followed.

  11. To handle all potential membership enquiries to Mytime Active’s standards.

  12. To assist with any general clerical duties as requested.

  13. To attend Receptionist meetings and feedback ways of improving and developing the service.

  14. To feedback any areas of concern to the FOH Manager or facility management team.

  15. Adhere to data protection requirements.

  16. To comply with the facility’s Health & Safety procedures at all times.

  17. To comply with the Equal Opportunities & Equity policy.

  18. To work as a team with colleagues in any area of the facility as required.

  19. To work at other Bromley Mytime facilities as required.

  20. To work shifts to cover the operating hours of the facility, which includes evenings and weekends.

  21. Any other duties commensurate with the post.

SKILLS AND ABILITIES


Essential:


Good numeracy, verbal and written communications skills.


Motivated to serve the public and able to deliver excellent customer care service both in person and on the telephone.


Ability to multi-task.


Ability to work under pressure in a busy environment.


Ability to work as part of a team and on own initiative.


Willing to undertake any relevant training.


EXPERIENCE


Essential:


Cash handling experience.


Experience of working in a customer service environment.


QUALIFICATIONS


Essential:


Educated to GCSE standard in English Language and Mathematics.


Basic IT skills.


CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT:


Conditional upon satisfactory health clearance.
