IT Operations Manager – £55-63K – London
My client is currently recruiting for an IT Operations Manager to join the team in Central London.
The successful candidate will be required to lead, deliver and manage all aspects of IT Operations, working with other IT Managers, Business Leaders and other stakeholders internally and externally, to deliver a first-class, customer-focussed, cost-effective IT platform.
This includes major functionality such as unified communications, networks, printing, mobile devices, core applications such as email, intranet, anti virus and monitoring, security and disaster recovery.
Key responsibilities:
– Lead and manage all aspects of IT Operations, ensuring infrastructure and applications are available, reliable, secure and have adequate capacity to support business requirements.
– Manage the outsource partner and all vendors delivering an externally hosted infrastructure and managed set of services.
– Take overall responsibility for the installation, upgrading, operations management, and maintenance of local and wide area networks for the communication and convergence of data, voice, text or images.
– Oversee, the creation, negotiation, monitoring and management of external supplier service level contracts, ensuring value for money, excellent quality of service and contractual milestones are met.
– Ensure consistent levels of service quality so that these levels meet or exceed any Service Level Agreement requirement or organisational target.
– Manage a consistent service delivery and plan for future corporate and system changes. Includes active and planned capacity management as well as data and information security.
– Ensure suitable technologies, processes and procedures are in place to manage business continuity risks.
– Takes full responsibility for the definition, documentation and satisfactory completion of operations projects (typically lasting 6-12 months, with direct business impact, teams of 3-5 and firm deadlines). Actively participates in all phases of the project. Identifies, assesses and manages risks to the success of the project.
– Evaluates and makes recommendations/decisions on technical options and project solutions as appropriate.
Required:
– ITIL Foundation Exam
Desirable:
– Accredited Vendor Technical Qualification (e.g MCSE or CCNA)
