Job Title: Sponsorship Sales Manager
Location: Marylebone, Covent Garden, Saint Pancras, Clerkenwell, Soho, Mayfair, Fitzrovia, Paddington, Kensington, Southwark, Lambeth, Pimlico, Victoria, Knightsbridge, Whitechapel
Salary: £35,000 p.a
Evolve Recruitment are looking for a highly motivated Sponsorship Sales Manager to take ownership for the sponsorship of a number of existing conferences and new launch events. Please read below for more information.
Key Responsibilities:
- Management of the sales campaign of each event with responsibility for achieving and exceeding revenue targets.
- Building, developing and managing relationships with key clients in the market place.
- Create relevant and specific sponsorship packages for each event, ensuring that packages represent value to the client and high profit margins for the event
- Report regularly, and accurately, on sales figures, pipelines and forecasted revenues event by event.
- Actively looking for ways to expand and diversify our portfolio
- Prospecting new business and maximising revenue from existing spenders including actively looking for opportunities to “up” and “cross” sell
- Working closely with the conference producers, marketers and operations managers to ensure smooth and profitable event delivery.
- Managing a floor plan and stand allocation
- Launching new events within the sector
- Potential man-management of a Sales Executive
Skills, Experience and Knowledge:
- The candidate will need to be at ease whilst selling to a varied range of clients including high level managers and directors.
- They must be comfortable, confident and articulate when communicating via email and telephone and able to present professionally face to face.
- Previous successful conferences sponsorship sales experience or exhibition sales experience is required.
- Experience of selling stands on large scale conferences with floor plans, or exhibition stand sales, would be ideal
- The candidate will be required to demonstrate a clear understanding of the sales process and implement this into their day to day job function.
- They must be able to sell in a consultative manner and demonstrate the ability to close complex and high value orders.
- The candidate must be able to work autonomously, be self-motivated and also be able to work closely with the extended team to ensure the events exceed all expectations.
- They must process information quickly, respond logically, and prioritise subsequent actions.
- Time management and good organisational skills are essential as is a strong commercial acumen and understanding of the business process.
