An exciting Learning Support Assistant vacancy has arisen at a lovely primary school located in Westminster, for September 1st.
This 2 form entry Primary school in Westminster, which is conveniently located between 2 different tube stations, is looking to appoint an enthusiastic Learning Support Assistant.
This is a full time, long term Learning Support Assistant role and ideal for an aspiring Educational Psychologist, as you will be working with children who have special educational needs throughout the whole academic year.
The Headteacher of this wonderful school has informed me this Learning Support Assistant role needs a candidate who can commit to the school for at least the academic year. Although experience of working with children with special needs would be an advantage, the Head said experience is not essential, as long as the right person is keen, empathetic, can think on their feet, and ideally has a degree in Psychology.
For the right candidate, this Learning Support Assistant post will be the ideal experience if you’re looking to eventually work in the Educational Psychology field. From day one you will be working with children across the school who have special and additional needs. This could mean working with children who have autism, emotional and behaviour difficulties, speech and language difficulties and those with moderate learning difficulties. You’ll be offered plenty of support from the schools special needs coordinator, and you’ll be working alongside over members of staff who believe every child matters. This is an inclusive school, so most of your time will be in class, but there will be occasions when you support some children outside of the classroom, so being flexible and versatile is key to being successful in this role.
If you feel this Learning Support Assistant post is for you, and you would like to apply for this exciting opportunity get in touch today by emailing your CV and covering letter to Nigel at Edustaff.
This school is lovely, and if you are successful and join them from September as their new Learning Support Assistant you can look forward to working with wonderful children, staff and parents.
