I have been asked to introduce a CDM Advisor / Health and Safety Consultant to my client, who are an International Construction Consultancy. The successful CDM Advisor / Health and Safety Consultant will join as a key member of the Health and Safety team, providing both Health and Safety advice, as well as specialist CDM consultancy services. The Health and Safety role is based in Central London.

The Health and Safety Candidate Requirements:

• As the successful Health and Safety Consultant, you will need to possess:


• Experience gained in a consultancy environment


• Excellent client facing skills


• Strong technical Health and Safety background


• Confidence – both technically and inter-personally


• Ability to work independently

The Desired Health and Safety Skill-set:

• As the successful Health and Safety Consultant, you will need to possess:


• Ability to act as CDM Advisor to Principal Designers


• Knowledge of a variety of sectors including retail, banking, residential and commercial


• Ideally have degree qualification or equivalent


• NEBOSH construction certificate


• Valid CSCS card


• A full driving license

The Health and Safety Job Role

• As the successful Health and Safety Consultant, your responsibilities shall include (but not be limited to):


• Providing support and assistance with matters of Health & Safety including compliance with CDM 2015 regulations.


• Investigate Health and Safety accidents and incidents to ascertain root cause and develop mitigation action plans to eliminate the root cause / causes.


• Provide regular reports to clients on Health & Safety matters relating to projects.


• Assist with responses to PQQ, Bid, and tender questions if required


• Undertake risk review workshops and design reviews


• Provide health and safety training and presentations


• Undertake construction site inspections and provide reports and feedback


• Develop and audit health and safety management systems


• Provide advice, direct support and guidance on construction safety matters
