Psychology is a successful and growing subject area at Bath Spa University. We achieved 90% student satisfaction in teaching in the NSS 2015. The Psychology Research Group is collectivised by a group interest in psychological well-being and behavioural functioning.


About the role


We are looking for a talented Lecturer/Senior Lecturer in Forensic Psychology to join our team. The successful applicant will contribute expertise in Forensic Psychology and research methods to the undergraduate Psychology programme, which links with Criminology and other courses. They may also contribute to the developing postgraduate programme in Psychology. The successful candidate would be expected to enhancing our growing research profile in the area of Psychology, but also potentially in Criminology and Policing. The role includes providing study support and dissertation supervision for students, as well as pastoral tutorial support when required.


About you (requirements)


You will have a BPS recognised degree and a PhD, or nearing completion of a PhD, in a relevant subject area along with recent experience of teaching within Higher Education. With knowledge and expertise across core areas of Forensic Psychology Levels 4 to 7, you will also have experience of and/or an ability to contribute to research methods teaching and evidence of relevant research, research supervision and successful bidding for research funding. Experience of module and course development at undergraduate and postgraduate levels is desirable, including collaborative provision across disciplines.


You will be expected to contribute to activities such as involvement with open days and public events, building appropriate links with business and the community and you will be involved in moderation and other quality assurance processes.
