If you are sales driven, able to multi task and have extremely strong communication skills this may the role for you as I am looking to take on 5 Trainee Recruitment Consultants on a 2 year program, at the end of which, the top performer will automatically be fast tracked to a £100k salary.

The role:

• Cold calling companies and contractors alike


• B2B sales in terms of pitching your services to clients


• Getting meetings with key decision makers


• Hitting daily targets


• Generating revenue through multiple deals


• Collecting data and organising to best utilize


• Networking through planning and through chance meetings


• Marketing, not only yourself but also the company

Your skills

• You must be a strong communicator and able to converse on the phone


• Extremely hardworking, more so than your colleagues


• Use initiative but follow direction at all times


• Impeccable time keeping, never being late


• Availability 24 – 7, if you are called at home – pick up the phone


• Sales like and entrepreneurial


• IT savvy, you will need to type up emails but general IT knowledge will be helpful


• Be sharp, have common sense, be able to push back against objections


• Resilient – when things go wrong you need to be strong in character

Why people may struggle with this position

You will be the hardest working in the company for 2 years as you will be offered the £100k salary fast track; when it’s time for Thursday drinks, you will be expected to deliver, this role is only for the most ambitious.

The role may involve weekend work, it will involve early starts and late finishes, you will be expected to make 100% attendance, take minimal holidays, no excuse is good for missing work. If you have personal commitments that will be more important than work this role is not for you as you will be fast tracked through your career.

Ideal background

This role does not determine a need for a certain working background but someone that has a proven track record in an extremely difficult or pressurised environment such as a Brokerage; in a professional kitchen/ as a chef or similar; running their own business, working on a sales floor etc.

Remuneration/ Salary

Salary will start from £16k – £24k plus commission Year 1

Promotions are made on your own achievements and can happen as quickly as you succeed.

Typical commission (not including basic salary):

Year 1: £10,000 – £16,000

Year 2: £22,000 – £45,000

The top performer, providing they meet the requirements will automatically be given a £100k salary at the end of year 2.
