Accountant/Office Manager - Mayfair Property Company



A well respected high-end Property Acquisition and Property Development Company based in the heart of Mayfair is currently recruiting for a very strong and commercial part qualified or newly qualified ACA/CIMA/ACCA Accountant/Office Manager. The business works with a high-profile client base, which includes CEO’s of listed FTSE/NYSE companies, royalty, celebrities, developers and commercially driven entrepreneurs across the globe.


The team is now in need of a strong, commercially minded professional to help strengthen all finance and administrative aspects of the business. You will be working in this small sized firm of 10, alongside the Directors of both companies with the development of procedures, daily financial duties, production of management accounts as well as actively taking the lead as their number two ensuring smooth daily operations.


This high level role will report directly to both Directors and would suit an experienced Finance Manager or a part/newly qualified accountant looking for a diverse operational role in a fast pace organisation.


Key Responsibilities:


Finance and administration


  • Overseeing day-to-day financial running of the business

  • Producing Sales invoice to clients

  • Monitoring purchases as well as coding and entering onto system

  • Making weekly payments to suppliers

  • Reconciling supplier statements

  • Maintaining cash books and reconciling the bank statements

  • Maintaining petty cash

  • Processing company credit card statements and cash expenses

  • Production of quarterly management accounts

  • Preparation of Year End Accounts

  • Cashflow forecasting and budgeting for the months ahead

  • Assist with month-end reports and procedures

  • Resolution of finance related queries

  • Ensure that company financial policies are in compliance with accounting/legal standards

  • Processing HMRC payments, including VAT and PAYE.

  • Carrying out payroll each month and resolving and payroll queries.

  • Provide financial support to team members

  • Maintain financial filing and administration

  • Completing all tax related forms, annual return etc

  • Implementing company pension plan as per new guidelines

Operations


  • Rigorous project tracking processes for all the property developments we are currently working on

  • Liaising with project team regarding project budgets, and highlighting any issues to the Directors

  • Liaison with external contractors regarding IT, Office management and others

  • Overseeing the daily running of the office, from replenishing goods to signing of expenses

  • Hands on role, performing other administrative duties in a small firm environment.

Other


  • Preparation of agendas and notes for finance and administration meetings.

  • Tracking holidays, sick days and contract renewal dates.

Required Skills/Qualifications


  • 3+ years experience in a finance and administrative role in a similar sized organisation.

  • Commercial awareness and proven ability to identify and respond to key business issues.

  • Ability to communicate with non-finance members of the team.

  • Commitment to the company’s mission and values, and strong motivation for the job.

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills in English.

  • Accountancy qualification
