Harnham are working exclusively with a leading retail brand who are looking to add a Senior Data Scientist to their algorithmic enhancement team. This is a brand new area for the company who are looking to maximise what the business can leverage from its data through the development of advanced machine learning algorithms. As a senior member of the team you will design and experiment with data, carrying out optimisation projects across all areas of the business.

Vital for this role is to be able apply complex machine learning knowledge to real-world business problems. This is the perfect opportunity for someone who is a problem-solver at heart and relishes working in a challenging environment.

The Role – Data Scientist

You will be:

• Designing experiments for multiple optimisation projects across the business


• Leveraging complex machine learning algorithms to make sense of huge data sets


• Translating business challenges and converting them into clear and concise projects for the team


• Coaching/mentoring junior team members

Experience – Data Scientist

• M.Sc. or Ph.D. in: Statistics, Applied Mathematics, Computer Science, Engineering, etc


• Experience using Python, R and SQL


• A strong knowledge of statistical/machine learning models (neural networks, k-means, SVM, clustering, classifications, random forests, regression)

BENEFITS

As a Senior Data Scientist you could earn between £60,000 – £65,000 + benefits package
