The Faculty of Science & Technology is seeking to recruit an enthusiastic researcher to contribute to a recently funded HEIF5+1+1 project within the Department of Psychology.
The post offers the opportunity to join an active research group of academic staff, post-doctoral researchers and PhD students, providing a stimulating and challenging research environment. The research project is concerned with superior face recognition in forensic and security settings. The research work will involve the use of eye-movement technology.
Ideally, you will have, or be near to completing, a PhD in Cognitive Psychology or demonstrate clear evidence of work at a commensurate level. A track record of publications in journals and/or conferences is essential.
The successful candidate will be expected to contribute strongly to the research group initiating new ideas and research proposals. Good written and oral communication skills are required. You will need to be self-motivated and a team player.
The post is Available for up to 10 months on a fixed term contract. If you wish to be considered as an internal secondment you must speak to your line manager first.
