What will the roles involve?
We have requirements for two National Operations Managers. One will lead our retail apprenticeship delivery, the other financial services. In these roles you will lead, manage, and develop a team of Operations Managers. You will have overall accountability for all elements of contract performance against a set of agreed objectives and budget.
Individual accountabilities will include:
- To effectively line manage the Operations Managers and remote based Delivery Team on a day to day basis, including responsibility for recruitment, induction, performance, delivery, TA starts / progressions, caseload management, performance reviews and staff absence / attrition
- Working alongside Key Accounts, responsible for setting the annual contract budget
- Working with additional funding body’s to maximise funded opportunities
- To identify, work with and manage any sub-contracting arrangement required by the client, if learndirect cannot deliver the required frameworks
- Achieve budgeted revenue and profit figures for the designated contract
- Accountability and management reporting of key quality and operational KPI’s e.g. learner recruitment, product mix, success rates, speed of delivery, out of funding, average in learning, and case load sizes
- Responsibility for the weekly managing, monitoring and reporting of delivery KPIs: starts, achievers, leavers, out of funding (OOFs), success rates (overall and timely) and maintaining and owning a “learner at risk” register.
What skills are we looking for?
To succeed in these roles you’ll need to be able to demonstrate:
- Proven success in a senior apprenticeship delivery role, with full P&L responsibility.
- Evidence of effectively driving and improving team performance and managing multi-site and remote teams.
- A deep understanding of the strategic and operational needs of apprenticeship programmes and key commercial drivers.
- A working knowledge of funding mechanisms and awarding body requirements.
- Proven success in the design and development of new apprenticeship programmes.
- The ability to ‘lead from the front’, achieve success through others, and effectively manage different stakeholder groups.
- National travel and coverage required.
