Job Description


It’s an exciting time to be joining London Bridge Hospital, with these fantastic expansion plans we are actively recruiting for a number of experienced MSK Senior Physiotherapist to effectively manage a musculoskeletal case-load and provide highly specialised treatment to patients within the outpatient department and as required on the inpatient wards, occasionally.


This is a fantastic opportunity to join the team, the role will be rotational between The Shard and London Bridge hospital, attracts a competitive salary up to £40,000 dependent upon experience, and comes with generous staff bonus scheme and thorough continuous development program. Shifts cover Mon-Fri, 7am-8pm.


Duties & Responsibilities


  • As a senior physiotherapist your role is to anticipate, assess and respond effectively to the needs of the patients, thus making excellent customer service a first priority, using a patient centred, goal orientated approach.

  • Using your expert MSK skills and experience provide thorough assessment and accurate diagnosis of patient conditions, implement highly specialised physiotherapy treatment, maintain accurate and comprehensive treatment records detailing individual patient’s treatments, plan and progress,

  • Maintain a high standard of professional and personal conduct, maintain open channels of communication with the deputy Physiotherapy Manager, Physiotherapy manager and other members of the physiotherapy team.

  • Communicate effectively with referral sources including GP’s and consultants, through regular progress reports and verbal communication.

  • Keep abreast of current funding agreements between HCA and insurance providers.

  • Complete and send a typed discharge report to referring sources upon patient discharge in a timely manner, participate in regular notes audits and to ensure personal documentation complies within accepted CSP standards and participate in relevant meetings with HCA and at LBH as necessary

  • Ensure that physiotherapy sessions are commenced on time and patients are given the amount of treatment time they are charged for.

  • Actively involved in the quality assurance and continuously promote and develop quality improvements appropriate to the needs of the service.

  • Partake in the clinical governance of the department and assist in service development strategies for the physiotherapy department.

Skills & Experience


HCPC/HPC Registration, Professional Physiotherapy Qualification. Substantial experience gained working as a Musculoskeletal Physiotherapist. Able to work autonomously within part of a larger team. Excellent communication skills and customer service skills.
