On-line courses programme manager (HE)
OVERVIEW
Our client provides technology-enabled services to help top-tier, UK HEIs launch online degree programs.
You will lead and manage the performance of a University Partnership.
The overall responsibility is to provide the strategic direction, leadership and management of a portfolio of online post-graduate masters programmes launched in long-term partnership with this University partner (ten year contract).
This portfolio of programmes is supported by a business unit that is responsible for the marketing, recruitment and retention services for all such partnerships.
You will be fully accountable for the success of this business unit by creating and executing a detailed and rigorous account plan, managing the P&L for the business unit, building relationships with key stakeholders within the partner University and launching new programmes successfully.
We are looking for senior candidates with a background in online programmes, and real depth of experience in business and relationship development with senior-level clients.
We are looking for an experienced, commercial Programme lead with exceptional education knowledge, and examples of where they have evolved and developed key strategic accounts.
Individuals who are well-versed in reporting effectively, and working in a heavily matrixed environment – leading and inspiring teams to ensure exceptional results for the partnership.
Basic salary up to £60,000 (plus up to 10% annual bonus)
QUALIFICATIONS, KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE
- Bachelors Degree.
- Substantial professional experience, some of which should come from a service oriented consulting or Account Management role serving Higher Education.
- Significant online learning and/or strong consulting experience across a variety of industries.
- Experience in managing P&L (desirable).
- Ability to make decisions, with a proven track record of critical key decision making.
- Excellent leadership, relationship building, negotiation, communication (written and oral), presentation, planning and organisational skills.
- Exceptional time management skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects.
- Ability to identify and propose new tasks and procedures.
- Demonstrated ability to take the lead, and work against resistance to accomplish goals.
- Highly proficient with office automation tools (MS Office) as well as internet and various databases (both internal and external).
- Ability to travel up to 50% of the time.
