Senior Test Manager – Swaps – Central London – £90k – £110k + bens

Our client’s business is at the very heart of the London banking community and is a stable member and well regarded institution within city finance circles. Our client’s IT systems help support the trading of items such as derivatives swaps and fixed income products. Our client’s position in London will further benefit as the banking world adjusts to a more regulated and structured environment. As a highly established and one of just two preferred suppliers to this client we have been asked to recruit a Test Manager situated within their Swaps development team. Our client is particularly keen on candidates who in addition to core BAU Test Management can help them improve Test processes, efficiencies, tooling and reduce the time between each Test release.

Main responsibilities
* Directing the test team, allocating resource and ensuring correct roles and responsibilities
* Being the point of escalation with the test team
* Definition and development of testing best practises
* Ensuring the team have the right processes and tooling to complete the job
* Managing the team from headcount and budget perspective
* Supporting and Utilising company standards for testing
* Effectively follow the software development life cycle
* Communicate effectively with Senior Development & Test Leads and Managers

Required Skills and Experience
* Extensive experience in testing
* Extensive experience leading a test team
* Experience of leading both onshore and offshore vendor resources
* Knowledge of the OTC interest rate products
* Understanding of Agile development methodology
* Ideally worked on Murex deliveries on Murex 3.x
* Ideally worked in Investment Banking Environment
* Highly pragmatic and delivery focused, “can do” attitude
* Takes ownership and is a self-starter
* Thorough understanding of technology, development, standards and practises and how best to test them
