Solutions Architect - Interactive Gaming




SOLUTIONS ARCHITECT – iGaming

This is a position within the Interactive and Sports Betting Division of the delivery organisation, with the primary accountability of defining and governing end-to-end software & systems architecture for the prospective customers and deliveries operating in a multi-channel gaming environment. This specific role is for a solutions architect position with specialisation in Interactive Gaming and associated platforms.


An ideal candidate for this role is someone with exposure to full SDLC of complex ecommerce software and has diverse experience in various areas such as:


*Requirement analysis
*Software product development
*Solution customization and delivery to a customer
*Installation and configuration
*Quality engineering
*Performance testing & fine tuning
*Production support
*Training and transition
*Technical project planning & management
*Security evaluation & compliance


The role requires balanced skill set to focus on strategic architecture work products as well as technical deliverables requiring hands on work. The split between hands on work and strategy work varies based on demand, however typical split would be:


*Strategy definition for opportunities 25%
*Hands on work for deliveries 75%


Minimum Education


*Bachelor of Science Degree with additional Education/Training or equivalent


Experience


*7 or more years industry experience in a related field and area
*4 years or architecture level experience


Required technical skills


The list below outlines the areas that have varying degree of importance. An ideal candidate is expected to have solid understanding of fundamental enabling technologies and design patterns with broad understanding and experience of applying the various tools and frameworks to build complex consumer facing enterprise applications.


Core Java / SOA architecture / Java and JavaEE design patterns / Spring Framework / Apache web application components / Hibernate / Jboss Application Server / Web Services (JAX-WS, RESTful, Spring Web Services) / JMS and message queues / UML / XML(incl. XSD) / Maven/Ant, JUnit / JavaScript and Ajax / Strong knowledge in Relational databases / Expertise in performance tuning and security implementation / Heterogeneous enterprise applications involving technologies of multiple platforms, Linux and JavaEE / Virtualization & VMWare / Data grid & distributed caches / NoSQL databases / Experience working in a continuous integration development environment using Agile Methodologies like Scrum.


Essential special training requirements


*Must have proven experience in enterprise architecture environment i.e. system design, software design, industry standards; Business environment experience i.e. business modeling, estimation, budgeting experience; Project Management; Customer Relationship Management; Total Cost of Ownership.


Other expected skills


*Enterprise architecture frameworks & methodologies (such as TOGAF),
*Software development methodologies
