The School of Health Sciences is seeking to appoint a Lecturer/Senior Lecturer In Forensic/Clinical Psychology to provide teaching and leadership to the MSc in Forensic Psychology and Mental Health and related programmes in the Division. The MSc in Forensic Psychology and Mental Health is seeking accredited by the British Psychological Society. This post is central to a strategic initiative to further build teaching capacity and expand the research portfolio of the Division of Psychology and Mental Health within the School of Health Sciences.  


Applicants must demonstrate a well-established teaching profile, and have experience of leadership in postgraduate taught programmes, curriculum planning, and supervision of postgraduate students. Candidates should also hold a PhD relevant to forensic mental health or a similar field. Applications are invited from either individuals who have a background in forensic mental health or individuals who hold Chartered status with the British Psychological Society (BPS).


We would be willing to consider applicants for a Lecturer or Senior Lecturer in Forensic Psychology to be Teaching and Research OR Teaching and focused. Part time or full time applications are invited as well.


Clinical scales may be applicable, in the range of £32,156 – £56,875 (pro rata for Lecturer) and £50, 699 – £71,676 (pro rata for Senior Lecturer)
