Business Teacher – Part Time – Outstanding School

Location – Redbridge

Start – January 2016

Role – 2 days per week

Salary – £140 – £220 per day

This popular, Outstanding comprehensive school (Not an Academy) is looking for a part time teacher of Business to take on 2 days a week (Monday and Tuesday). This is an excellent opportunity for an NQT or an experienced teacher to start a new part time position and work in a thriving environment developing Strong skills.

As an option subject Business has been a popular choice and now holds a high status at the school, it forms a key part of the options curriculum. The Business department work closely with the ICT department and collaboratively. Students and teachers work in a calm, engaging but focused environment. Schemes of work have been adapted and the current department have done extensive planning to ensure all lessons are differentiated and pupils of all abilities progress above the national expectations.

Students at the school are now achieving more high level grades than ever and at GCSE results have increased in recent years. Students studying at A Level are progressing to some top universities. The Maths department have seen their grades increase and key headline figures remain high. The department is seeking a dynamic teacher who will be able to continue the improvements and progress students further.

Staff at the school are well supported, an extensive and well structured CPD program is in place throughout the year. This allows newly qualified and experienced staff to further develop their skills and classroom practice.
