Graduate Market Research -Paid Internship - London

This is a 2-3 month internship paying £1,500 per month. You must have the right to work in the UK to apply for this role.

A management consultancy working in the financial technology space helping clients develop both disruptive and innovative finance products through research, data insight and years of industry experience.

How can you expect to spend your day?

You will join the business to offer market research support for a particular project on behalf of one of the UK’s leading banks. This is an excellent opportunity to work within a cutting edge consultancy firm working in the banking sector. 
Tasks you can expect to learn about and undertake include:

– You will be researching whether a particular model of trade finance would work in the UK by analysing how it’s done overseas and applying your findings to the UK market place. 
– You will join the company director to attend client meetings with banks, competitors, advisors, trade finance providers and supply & logistics providers. 
– The majority of the work will be office based and involve a lot of reading and analysis. 
– Example type of research would be how capital can be released from the lifecycle of an import/ export transaction and most importantly asking why there is a lack of competition outside of the UK’s high street banks.

The ideal intern’s personality and qualifications are: 

The ideal candidate for this position will be a recent graduate looking to develop commercial work experience within a consulting firm and/ or someone looking to work in corporate finance and banking. 
Desired skills, experience and personality:

– Educated to degree level with a strong academic background. 
– Very articulate and comfortable working within a small collaborative team. 
– Any education or prior work experience in banking would be hugely beneficial. 
– A strong level of numeracy. 
– An analytical mind-set.
