Horizon Teachers is working with this hard working, over subscribed, popular school to recruit a teacher of English. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced teacher to start a new position and work in a thriving environment and maintain the highest standards.

English at the school is thriving, the status at the school is of a high performing successful department. As the key part of the curriculum, students are heavily timetabled throughout the week at KS3 and 4. As the successful applicant you must be able to offer a high standard of teaching to KS3 and KS4 as well as being able to teach outstanding lessons to Key Stage 5 in this supportive and highly successful department. The English department achieves outstanding results at GCSE and A level. Classes are taught in mixed ability groups at Year 7 and then in ability groups from Year 8.

The English department have seen their grades increase and the key headline figures have climbed in recent years and in 2015 remained high. The department is seeking a dynamic teacher who will be able to continue the improvements and progress students further at every level.

Staff at the school are well supported, an extensive and well structured CPD program is in place throughout the year. This allows newly qualified and experienced staff to further develop their skills and classroom practice.
