Marketing Executive - 3 days a week

We are now looking to strengthen our marketing team within our Sports and Leisure business by recruiting a part time Marketing Executive. This role will be to support the Marketing team with copywriting responsibilities for internal and external audiences, website and blog administration and social media involvement to ensure an effective team with reliable and high quality support.

Up to £20,000

3 days a week.

Flexible on working days and also flexible to offer some home working.

Main responsibilities

You will provide create support to the team, providing copy and content for various communications, specifically Prestige magazine, internal e-newsletters, blogs, brochures, awards entries and sales promotions. Assisting in idea generation for promotions and creative collateral, you will also proof-read press releases and magazine articles. With responsibility for managing smaller scale projects, you will plan work and understand the different requirements of team stakeholders, and manage workload accordingly. You will keep track of relevant industry awards and organise award submissions, liaising with internal stakeholders and collating key information and content. In addition to attending events to provide background information for content, obtained through organised and ‘on the fly’ interviews. Working with the image library you will assist with sorting the image gallery as well as photo selection and delivery to PR agents and other third parties. Key in this role is also updating relevant websites and manage content calendar in conjunction with team stakeholders. You will also monitor and post on social media networks (Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn), liaising with social media reps at venues as well as events marketing manager and responding to individual customers when appropriate.

Ideal candidate

• Graduate calibre with experience in communications or marketing, either B2C or B2B.


• Strong verbal and written communications skills, particularly creative and corporate writing skills.


• Well-organised, a keen eye for detail and proactive approach


• Proficient in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook


• Awareness of content management systems, and good experience of using social media for business purposes.


• Strong people skills


• Interest in food and hospitality industry with events exposure a bonus.


• Experience in PR and full-time copywriting


• Experience in writing or publishing a blog, either for work or personal use
