Scrum Master - Digital Transformation £60k to £70k

Our client is one of the fastest growing Start Ups in the UK. They have recently floated and you are most likely using one of their products/apps on a daily or weekly basis. Given their rapid growth they are now looking to hire a Scrum Master with Software Engineering experience to play a key role in their internal digital transformation process.

They are based in Central London and are keen to attract the smartest and brightest individuals to join them asap.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage a delivery team to ensure the successful delivery of products that is well integrated with new and existing platforms


• Lead a team of professionals to deliver a prioritised set of requirements set by the Product Owner for the team


• Support and ensures proper facilitation and execution of product delivery practices and methodologies, helping the team accelerate their development and optimise their throughput


• Maintain an awareness of the business’ strategy and how the product delivered fits in with what that vision


• Maintain transparency and provides timely and accurate visibility of status, progress against product backlogs, managing progress impediments


• Facilitate the creation of release plans and supports the Product Owner in their requirement prioritisation process


• Remain abreast of other delivery initiatives and collaborates / manages dependencies as required


• Support the development of our client’s standards / tools / techniques for Product Delivery Management


• Keep up to date on the latest industry trends and openly shares thoughts amongst Product Delivery Management Centre of Excellence on standards / tools / technologies / trends


• Coach and mentors the team in best practice delivery frameworks suitable for our client and also comfortable coaching team in non-domain expertise


• Manage and influences key stakeholders – naturally conversing with Developers and Exec alike


• Recognised as an ambassador of client’s Digital Development capability – readily promotes the great work being developed and seen as a leader


• Act as the scrum champion; ensuring the theory, practices and events are understood and used
  
  • Understand and supports the servant-leader relationship with the team; empowering the team to make their own decisions / priorities to deliver against the time allowed
  
  
  • Provide guidance / techniques so the Product Owner can maximise the value of the team.
  
  
  • Remove team impediments and coaches the team to produce high quality products
  
  
  • Work / collaborate with other product teams to improve integration and manage any key dependencies
  
  
  • Co-ordinate and facilitates the Scrum events (stand-ups, retros, reviews) as required on behalf of the Development team or Product Owner.
  
  

Essential Skills / Experience:

• Highly experienced Scrum Master


• Software Engineering Development Background


• Strong track record of digital product delivery


• Experience leading teams to deliver digital projects in B2C and B2B environments


• Strong depth of business & technical digital skills and experience


• Good grounding in traditional Project Management governance practices


• Passionate about digital products


• Strong stakeholder management and commercial skills


• Natural servant leader – good experience of coaching and developing others


• Comfortable coaching team members on non-domain expertise
