Content Editor (Journalist / Agency Background) Urgent

Content Editor 32k to 40k Journalist OR Agency Background London

Content has always been central to my client’s work for clients, but it’s now more important than ever. As social media channels have exploded and brands have become publishers in their own right, creating great content to tell stories and engage communities has become a vital skill my client offers across their client base.

The Content Editor will be responsible for writing short- and long-form copy for clients across the agency. This includes: blog posts to be published on clients’ own sites and third party platforms, such as LinkedIn and Medium; opinion articles to be published in independent editorial outlets; and in-depth reports, normally based on commissioned research. It’s likely you are from a journalistic or agency background, used to producing multiple pieces of high-quality content each day and able to work to short deadlines.

You will have an innate understanding of what makes a good story, how to tell it in an engaging way, how to tailor your work to different clients’ needs and how to communicate with people on social channels.

A strong interest in technology and its wider impact on businesses and consumers is essential. A good working knowledge of recurring themes and topic areas, such as cyber security, internet of things and predictive analytics will also be useful. The content editor will work closely with company’s strategy and insight director and their digital engagement director to produce superb content for a range of clients.

He or she will sit within a team of other content producers and social media experts.
