TGSR is looking to hire an experienced Associate Environmental Scientist on behalf of a high profile client

Person Specification

• Have relevant university degree or equivalent qualification, with chartered membership relevant institutions such as IEMA and IES


• Have experience of managing environmental impact assessments for major infrastructural projects


• Have experience of managing assessment process


• Be able to write and review technical reports


• Be able to develop business within internal and external markets


• Have expert knowledge of UK and European EIA legislation.


• Have knowledge of current planning issues and the statutory planning processes such as TCPA, DCO, TWAO and Hybrid Bill for projects


• Having a well-developed understanding of sustainability issues and skills in areas such as SEA, SA and HIA would be advantageous

Duties

• Lead team of EIA consultants on major infrastructure projects for private and public sector clients at the planning and design stage


• Manage EIA process throughout and review all technical input into Scoping Reports, Environmental Statements and Non-Technical Summaries.


• Prepare, co-ordinate and manage reports and environmental statements


• Manage and liaise with technical specialists, monitoring progress and provide reviewing outcomes


• Draft ES documents, including introductory sections


• Write, review and edit technical reports


• Develop new business and develop good working relationship with existing clients to manage their expectation
