Student Services Reception Assistant - London
1. Play a key role in meeting and greeting students who are making use of services. 2. Provide initial advice and information to prospective students; students; staff and visitors on a range of issues efficiently, effectively and in a timely manner. 3. Work closely with Student Services staff and the Hubs in relation to making appointments 4. Contribute to the co-operative ethos of the team by supporting colleagues 5. Keep accurate data relating to the nature of enquiries received 6. Contribute to the work of Department of Student Services as required. 7. Undertake other duties of a reasonable nature, as may be determined by the post holder’s line manger from time to time, in consultation with the post holder. 8. Carry out all duties in accordance with the University’s Equal Opportunities Policy and other policies designed to protect members of staff or students from harassment. It is the duty of the post holder not to act in a prejudicial or discriminatory manner towards members of staff, students, visitors or members of the public. The post holder should also counteract such practice or behaviour by challenging or reporting it. 9. Take reasonable care of health and safety of self, other people and resources whilst at work to comply with the University’s Health and Safety Policy, Codes of Practice and local rules. 10. Co-operate with the line manager, or any other person with specific responsibility for health and safety, to enable the University’s responsibilities under the Health and Safety at Work Act to be performed.
