An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Senior Contracts Manager position within the company. The key focus of the role will be to liaise and manage with all senior project managers and senior site staff in the region, to track and monitor the progress of projects, keeping track of P+L, progress on projects, project variations, as well as bringing in a strong and reliable supply chain.
The role carries the responsibility of representing the company in client meetings at the highest level throughout the region. It will be focused on large Engineering Projects up to £20m in value within an Industrial Process environment.
This is an Operational role with strong leadership and influential regional supply chain knowledge required. They want to appoint an individual who can bring a powerful combination of excellent Commercial skills with strong team leadership and motivational qualities. This is a very influential role within the UK and an opportunity for an experienced individual to really make the region a very pivotal part of the Groups growth in the UK.
KEY TASKS/RESPONSIBILITIES/ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Manage and develop a portfolio of projects in the Industrial Process industries for the South East of England.
 - Manage Project Managers to ensure all projects run at a very high level.
 - Commercial and Business Development duties to ensure the regional business is keeping in line with Group targets and KPI’s.
 - Report to the UK and Group Board. Have an influence with the board on major decision making on current and future clients and projects.
 - Ensure that project milestones and the business KPI targets are achieved.
 - Involved in the recruitment of project staff and resource planning of projects.
 - Working with the senior members of the business on the overall direction of projects and resource planning to ensure that target projects are tendered for.
 - P&L responsibility for the region. Business Development responsibility to ensure client relationships is kept solid and further projects are awarded to the business and your team.
 - Prepare and present documents for tenders.
 - Put together plans, estimates, including budgets and timescales.
 
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
- Degree qualified in a Mechanical or Electrical engineering discipline or similar
 - A project management qualification ideally.
 - A minimum of 10 years with a background of managing M&E projects.
 - Extensive Operational experience. Bring a strong and reliable supply chain which you can manage.
 - Strong Character and strong leader of Project Managers professionals.
 - Experience of Large Projects in the key region of Industrial process Engineering Services projects. Ideally between £5m and £30m in value.
 - Experience of related process industries; on the client or contactor side is essential.
 - Excellent Communication skills and strong commercial acumen.
