My client, a global training organisation, with multiple offices throughout the globe, seeks a H&S Advisor to cover a maternity contract for a period of 12 months.

The role of the Health and Safety Advisor (Knowledge and Networking) is to provide support, advice and training to the division and ensuring the management of health and safety of the various events teams meets a required standard.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Implement global health and safety policy and procedures


• Assessing suitability of venues worldwide


• Advising on Contractor Management


• Site visits where necessary to review safety


• Health and Safety Plans for events where necessary


• Audits of Health and Safety Management Systems


• Co-ordinating with Internal Audit if necessary


• Health and Safety data collection – quarterly accident / incident reports


• Implementation and further development of training schedule


• Annual review of health and safety training


• Floor Management when required at key events


• NEBOSH General Certificate


• CDM background (desirable)


• A Fire and Food safety qualification


• A good knowledge and understanding of the events business (desirable)


• A strong understanding of management systems


• High attention to detail and confidence to liaise with worldwide events divisions


• Strong communication skills and the ability to liaise with all levels of employees


• Provide training to global divisions where necessary

SKILLS REQUIRED

System Competences

• Knowledge of SAP


• Ability to use Microsoft office (word, outlook, excel & PowerPoint) is essential

• Strong drive to complete projects
