Commercial Accountant to work within a business partnering role, within their newly structured and operationally focused Finance Team.
The Opportunity
Market leading FMCG organisation with an innovative approach to how a finance team is run and structured, is looking to source a Commercial Accountant to work within a business partnering role within their newly structured and operationally focused Finance Team.
The Role
Planning & Forecasting
Work with the Commercial Accountant and Sales team to manage and control the annual budget process.
Develop and improve the monthly forecast process as we move into a new system.
Commercial Support
- Financial modelling and building basic business case to support operational decision making
- Evaluate new customer and business opportunities including new product costings
- Provision of timely, relevant financial data for use in annual account planning and reviews
- Maintain and control costs and CAPEX
In addition to the above, you will need to produce KPIs and reports in order to drive accountability within the business.
Due to the nature of the role, you may be required to liaise with operational managers as well as key finance personnel. As such, candidates with a business partnering background will be particularly suited to the role.
You’re Profile
- Proven record of delivery of accurate, high quality business information
- Experience of delivering MI data management process excellence
- Strong strategic and analytical skills
- Good understanding of reporting tools (Excel, Cubes, Cognos, Crystal, Business Objects etc.)
- Good understanding of data and supporting systems (SAP, Dynamics, Oracle etc.)
- Ability to occasionally travel to other South Island locations
- Your background will be financial and analytically focused and you will have worked within a similar role within a large complex commercial environment
