United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland: Quality Assurance and Technical Advisor
About the role
This is an exciting opportunity for someone with keen attention to detail and a sound understanding of UK product safety legislation to join a dynamic and successful retail buying team as a quality assurance and technical adviser.
Based in Oxford, in Oxfam’s Trading Division, you will support the New Products buying team to ensure the legality, safety and good quality of all New Products with guidance from Trading standards. You will be responsible for ensuring that customer complaints are dealt with and any product recalls are communicated and implemented effectively.
About you
You will have a background in QA systems, ideally for a wide range of product areas, you will have excellent attention to detail and are highly self motivated and able to manage your own workload. You are also able to be adaptable and flexible in your approach and to reach pragmatic solutions to complex problems. You have strong interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to build effective working relationships. Although not essential, previous experience of working within a retail environment is also highly desirable.
