Digital UX UI Designer for web and mobile

KD Web, a leading and well respected digital agency based in London are currently recruiting an experienced UX Digital Designer.

The Position:
As a UI/UX Digital Designer, you will be responsible for leading the creative team as well as hands on creative work on the bigger web accounts. Apart from having a friendly personality and a good, professional attitude, you will own and drive client relationships by consulting on look & feel, tone, brand and customer experience. You will join a talented team of designers, programmers, project managers and SEO specialists of nearly 20 staff, in a busy environment, working closely with the front end web development team to finish projects to a very high standard.

While we expect you be to talented and creative and a wiz with Photoshop and Illistrator, It is important that you can provide excellent leadership and management skills to your team keeping an eye on budgets at the same time. You’ll need the energy to help and inspire others to create their best work and enjoy the process of helping push ideas along from conception to delivery.

You will lead and champion brainstorms and idea generation sessions including spearheading new digital innovations, creative technologies and touch points. You will work closely with development and SEO teams in helping bring to life strategies, roadmaps, user journeys and personas.

There will be the opportunity to work across a variety of accounts and projects to mainly include website concepts and website screenshots, logos, typography and printing materials.

Essential requirements:

• 5+ years of digital agency experience


• Excellent knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite including InDesign, Photoshop and Illustrator is essential for this role.


• Outstanding portfolio showcasing work across multiple platforms


• Must be a bright, ambitious and eager character that thrives on creative excellence


• Lead and inspire the creative team, must have managed a small to medium sized team and have excellent organisational skills


• Provide hands on guidance setting the creative direction and attention to detail throughout the project life cycle


• Be a strong communicator with excellent presentation and client facing skills, who can lead pitches


• Up to date understanding and knowledge of creative, web and marketing trends


• Responsible for developing conceptual ideas and art direction across all accounts


• Excellent knowledge of spoken and written English.


• Strong knowledge of user interface design processes and methodology.


• Working knowledge of user-centred design principles and practices.


• Experience of observing user research and translating user research into design decisions

Based at the design studio in North West London (not in the Harley Street head office).
