We are recruiting for a dynamic and experienced Sales Executive / Business Development Executive from a digital agency background. If you have experience selling services such as responsive websites or SEO, we want to hear from you. We supply the leads and you would consult with the client, and work on closing the deals.


KD Web Ltd is a long established, London based web design / SEO agency with nearly 20 years’ experience. The company specialises in Web Design, Internet Marketing and SEO services.


KD Web work for an impressive portfolio of corporate and public sector clients as well as small to medium size firms. Clients include The United Nations, Virgin, Capita PLC, London Bridge Hospital and many others.


The Role:


This role is an excellent opportunity for someone with a proven consultative sales background in either Web Design, SEO or similar media who wishes to succeed with a dynamic digital agency. You will be working with a team of talented and experienced project managers, designers and web developers in our warm and friendly web studio, working under the wing of our Operations Director.


You will have the opportunity to work across a variety of accounts and projects with the added bonus of working from mainly warm leads. The company has worked hard to achieve number #1 rankings in Google for themselves for phrases such as “web designers”, so leads are currently plentiful. You will be expected to make appointments for yourself from those leads, visit the prospective clients or invite them in to our studios, and offer the prospective clients our web solutions to create solid ongoing business.


You will be selling web solutions at pricing starting from £5k for small but always professionally designed websites, all the way to £100k+ for much larger interactive websites. You will also be selling services such as SEO, website maintenance packages and other related internet services.


As you will be responsible for the development of the sale from start to finish so the ability to develop relationships and account manage is essential. If you can talk to prospective clients on their level, and be able to listen to clients problems and offer solutions to close the sales, our long established quality portfolio, high Google results and professional web team will give you the tools to back up the sale.


About You:


  • An exceptional sales professional with excellent verbal and written English

  • Ability to learn fast, work under pressure and to a high standard.

  • Organised and responsible

  • Self driven and can work on own initiative

  • Friendly, well spoken, clean and presentable

  • Can excite prospective clients about our superior services both on the phones and in meetings

  • Is able to develop sales proposals with some website technical details

  • Has excellent knowledge of all aspects of website or SEO sales which includes familiarity of the full development cycle of interactive websites, from start to finish.

  • Is able to listen to clients and understand their problems, and offer solutions to solve these problems

  • Can read instructions accurately, take proper notes at meetings, avoid mistakes or omissions on proposals

  • Is able to work with our team to create sitemaps and sometimes complex website specifications

  • Works together with the project managers to ensure contracts are executed according the proposal terms and budget and timescales of the projects sold

  • Builds maintains ongoing relationships with clients

  • Has a natural hunger to achieve and even exceed quarterly targets

Experience/Education Required:


  • A relevant degree

  • At least 1 year web or SEO sales experience in a similar environment, or other relevant consultative sales experience providing you have an excellent understanding of websites, CMS, user interface, or SEO

  • Some history of consultative project/account management experience

  • Experience in using a CRM for lead tracking and sales management

  • Understanding of SEO and Google Analytics and Pay Per Click

  • Basic knowledge of the differences between HTML, CSS, PHP, MYSQL, and in updating websites through WordPress or similar, and using social media
