Escape Rooms - Assistant Shop Manager Wanted


Brief description


Escape Rooms is a real life escape game. It requires players to work together and solve tricks, puzzles and riddles in the room within 1 hour. It is a new and exciting concept, but becoming increasingly popular. We would love for you to join our lovely and energetic team!


Shop manager needed


As the shop manager, you will oversee all of the activities in the shop. The role will be very operational and hands on. You will be an ambassador of Escape Rooms, and must have a high level of customer service, people skills and professionalism. It will be your responsibility to compassionately greet all incoming teams and accommodate them during their visit. You will also look after the email and telephone enquiries. You are in the frontline of our business, tasked with promoting the game, answering questions and dealing with all the booking related enquiries.


However, being behind the desk in not what this job is about! You will need to be a good team leader, someone who can display outstanding leadership, organisational skills, and have a natural ability to motivate and direct team members. It is important to ensure our staff maintains a high standard and provide friendly and helpful hints to help the teams before and during the game.


Another important focus of the role is light maintenance of the rooms (games). Sometimes items and equipment inside the rooms may need urgent repair or replacement. It will be your responsibility to identify the fault and make sure the game is running smoothly for each and every team while you are in the shop.

• Flexible in your work schedule (Able to work evening shifts and weekends, as well as holidays)
• English Speaking
• Basic DIY skills
• Independent, and quick problem solver


Bonus skills (not essential):


• An engineering background
• Experience in website design and coding
• Digital graphic design skills

• 3-4 days a week, 10am-11pm on each working days
• Flexible working shifts Monday to Sunday.

• Salary, 23k – 25k depends on experience
• Bonus paid on half yearly basis depends on your performance and company’s performance
