We are looking for a Business Development Manager to generate agreed levels of revenue and margin by selling hosted unified communications services to end users in the Medium Business and Enterprise sector by generating new sales and leveraging existing clients and partner relationships.


Our client has an immediate requirement for intelligent and self-motivated Unified Communications specialists for this sales role.


The Business Development Role:


  • Engage client’s partners to build a meaningful and trusted relationship

  • Seek out and qualify sales opportunity’s directly with end user customers and via the partner organization

  • Work closely with the partner organization to understand their customer’s needs

  • Develop Go-To-Market plans for new and prospective customers

  • Manage the partner organization through commercial launch including Sales kickoff, building collateral, training the sales force, launch events, market management.

  • Work with the partner organization to formulate and position the value propositions, bundling with existing reseller products ensuring complementing the existing portfolio

  • Assist the partner organization to actively promote the service.

  • Hold regular pipeline reviews with the partner organization to review forecast

  • Drive and integrate marketing activities to agreed budgets and timescales with personal sales efforts including product launches, promotions, advertising, exhibitions and telemarketing to stimulate new business meetings.

  • Manage product/service mix, pricing and margins according to agreed aims.

  • Plan and prioritize personal sales activities to ensure high levels of efficiency.

  • Attend training and to develop relevant knowledge and skills.

The Candidate:


  • Proven sales experience selling voice and unified communications solutions to Enterprise customers.

  • Experience of the Direct Touch Sales model

  • Proven experience growing revenue in existing accounts.

  • Strong Channel Management skills

  • Knowledge of global and regional markets for unified communications.

  • High level of technical knowledge of around (LAN/WAN/DSL/MPLS/PSTN/ISDN/VoIP/IPT/SIP trucking).

  • Capable of driving long and complex sales cycles both direct and with partners

  • Ideally some experience of UCaaS
