Employment Advisor – NW8 – Learning Disabilities — £10.30 p/h

Rate of pay: £10.30 p/h

Duration – 6 months ongoing

Job purpose:

To establish and develop a working relationship with employers, identify employment opportunities for people with learning disabilities and people with physical disabilities.

To assist people to prepare for work

To enable candidates to secure the employment of their choice

To provide candidates with specific job support as required

To reduce job support when the candidate is competent to do their job

To be available to offer post employment support to candidates and employers as required

To understand and implement the principles of supported employment

To work to standards required by the service specification within the agreed policies and procedures of the organisation and the City Council.

Experience required:

Experience of working with people with learning disabilities and Autism.

Experience as an Employment Advisor/Job Broker

You strength will be the ability to communicate with a wide range of people, using a range of communication skills and methods.
