Hotel Services manager





Be responsible for the leadership and management of all the essential central services such as concierge , security, hospitality maintenance, supply ,mail, cleaning, waste disposal and recycling. Expected to facilitate and monitor the provision of facility management services, to ensure that the service provided meets agreed standards, responding quickly and efficiently to changing requirements, identifying and providing solutions to problems.


Client Details


Large NHS trust located in London. The hotel services manager will report to the general manager and oversee the catering, leaning and waste disposal departments.


Description


  • To ensure equipment is used correctly and that faults are reported.

  •  To maintain a cheerful disposition at all times, with patients and staff.

  •  To ensure the requests are followed up and respond immediately

  •  To develop an efficient system for supply delivery making sure supplies and other deliveries reaches their correct destination. 

  • Ensure that a high standard of environmental cleanliness are carried out as per agreement with the contracted FM company , conduct regular audits and monitor staff associated duties that are to be routinely carried out in accordance with the clinic’s housekeeping standards.

  •  Addressing problems and troubleshooting and assist general manager to investigate complaints and ensure corrective action is taken at the earliest opportunity.

  •  To alert heads of department and the general manager of any potential problems relating to FM issues as well as hospitality and front house porter.

  •  Monitor front house porters; ensure they are carrying out their allocated duties on a daily basis.  carrying out inspections of property and services; 

  • Monitor and ensure on a daily basis call areas such as patients waiting area and consulting room are checked for items such as patient leaflets , magazine , flowers , newspaper. Ensure beverage area always clean stocked fully with water and soft drink.

  •  Ensure hospitality staff regularly offer patients and their visitors in the waiting area complimentary beverages, ensuring that the service is running smoothly and that patient are happy with the service they are receiving. 

  •  Supervising maintenance, supplies and operate a set of pre-service checklists that ensures that all areas are fully sourced and ready for the service to commence, overseeing cleaning and monitoring . 

  • To ensure that equipment is clean and monitor staff carrying out such duties in a safe and hygienic manner that is compliant with Infection Prevention and Control measures

Profile


Must have previous NHS background


COSHH training


NVQ level 3, and a British Institute of Cleaning Science Cleaning Operative Proficiency Certificate or equivalent experience.


Evidence further on-going learning and development.


Good standard of literacy and numeracy


Knowledge of Infection prevention and control. 


Knowledge of health and safety risk assessment associated with housekeeping.


 Experience of working and communicating with colleagues/members of the public/customers/clients  Knowledge of Microsoft office including Word, Excel and Outlook.


 Knowledge of Quality Monitoring techniques and systems and their operation
