The MRC Cognition and Brain Sciences Unit (CBSU) is an internationally renowned research institute with state-of-the-art cognitive neuroscience and clinical research facilities, including a 3T Siemens Prisma scanner.
You will join a project called ‘Imaginator’: a pilot study for a brief technology-based intervention to reduce self-harm in young people, harnessing mental imagery. The study will also include active involvement of a Young People’s Advisory Group (young people with lived experience of self-harm) at all stages of research.
This post is available until March 2017.
You will have an undergraduate degree in psychology or a related discipline, with experience of working on clinical research studies in mental health, including direct contact with clinical populations. Experience of working with young people would be an advantage.
You will also have a good knowledge of software packages and techniques for data analysis (e.g. SBSS) and document/presentation production (e.g. MS Office) and excellent communication, administrative, organisational and team working skills.
