I have an excellent opportunity for a Building Surveyor / Insurance Surveyor to join my Insurance Client

Building Surveyor

London/Croydon Area (field based)

Full time – Permanent

£30 – £35k DOE + Company Car, Bonus Scheme, pension scheme and generous annual leave

This role requires a dynamic and conscientious individual who can apply their insurance and buildings knowledge to validate insurance claims within the commercial and domestic market, it requires essential surveying skills to validate and quantify projects. The individual needs to build relationships with key stakeholders including customer’s, clients, brokers and contractors to achieve pro-active project management of insurance buildings and contents claims. This role gives autonomy to individuals managing their own time and allows learning and development within a real forward thinking environment.

Having worked as a building surveyor and project manager within the insurance sector, you’ll combine a strong knowledge of both the insurance and building industries. You’ll also bring excellent interpersonal skills, gained in your time working in a customer-focused environment where you took pride in meeting customer needs through your expertise and integrity.

This is a field based role but working from home and you’ll need to reside within the TW, KT, SM, SW, CR, EN, N, NW, and W post code areas.

Last but by no means least; an insurance qualification is desirable along with the CII Diploma and ACII.

Salary range – £30,000 – £35,000 depending and skills and experience

Essential Knowledge and Skills:

* Good knowledge of the insurance industry
* Good knowledge of the building industry, including experience of working as a building Surveyor and Supervisor in building trades
* Experience of working in a customer focused environment, meeting customer needs through expertise and integrity
* Experience of effectively managing costs on settlements
* Competent IT skills e.g Excel, Word, Internet, Email
* Excellent interpersonal skills and written communication skills
* CII Diploma
* ACII
* HNC in trade

Desirable Knowledge and Skills:

* Insurance Qualification
* Surveying Qualification – e.g. Chartered Building Surveyor
