Backstage assistants/ Events assistants for LFW AW16 - Oxford fashion Studio - London


Oxford Fashion Studio produces runway shows during New York Fashion Week, London Fashion Week and Paris Fashion Week as well as shows in Oxford, Los Angeles and Houston. Over six years we’ve produced 64 runway shows working with 327 designers from 23 different countries. You can find out more about us on our website: www.oxfordfashionstudio.com.


We aim to give young and talented, individuals with an interest in fashion/events the opportunity to have a real life fashion industry experience. We are looking for volunteers in two main areas – backstage and events in all locations for AW16 shows.


We would ideally like someone who could commit to all 3 show days (Fri and Sun half days; Sat full day – tbc)

Paris – Friday 4th March; Saturday 5th March; Sunday 6th March
Oxford – Friday 11th March; Saturday 12th March; Sunday 13th March


Dressers // Backstage Assistant Responsibilities: ·


  • Planning: Studying the designers and collections prior to the show·

  • Fittings: Assisting with model fittings prior to the runway show·

  • Set-Up: Organising the backstage area·

  • Garments: Enforcing standards of care for garment handling·

  • Dressing: Responsibility for dressing 2-3 models per show·

  • Runway Show: Executing a flawless runway show production·

  • Packaging: Managing a systematic re-packaging of garments·

  • Clear-Up: Striking and clearing the backstage area·

  • Assisting: Assisting the Runway Director and Assistant Runway Director throughout

Events Assistant Responsibilities: ·


  • Events: Plan and execute OFS events including press events and runway shows·

  • Planning: Assisting with all aspects of event planning and execution·

  • Set-up: Setting the venue including chairs, bars, lighting and sound·

  • Goodie-bags: Preparing and positioning goodie-bags·

  • Clear-up: Assisting with post-show strike and clear out·

  • Hospitality: Enhancing the experience of guests, designers and press·

  • Arrivals: Managing the guest list, seating plans and arrivals process·

  • Personal: Studying the guest list to provide bespoke hospitality for specific guests·

  • Connections: Introducing press to participating designers·

  • Hosting: Engaging with guests in a professional manner
