This post represents an exciting opportunity for an individual to join a team of staff in Keele University’s Counselling and Mental Health Support Service. The Service is responsible for providing psychotherapeutic interventions and mental health support to a diverse student community.
Keele University has an established Counselling and Mental Health Support team which is a part of Student Support and Development Services. The team are both integrated within The University, and proactive in its approach in supporting our student population. We are looking to recruit a qualified and accredited (BACP,UKCP or BABCP) practitioner to work within the multi-disciplinary team. They will ideally have experience of working within a short term model in an educational setting, and with a complex client base.
In addition to providing time sensitive, and focussed, one to one counselling and psychotherapeutic interventions, the successful applicant will also contribute to a series of wellbeing and educative events aimed at supporting Keele students in developing interpersonal and employability skills.
We envisage that the successful applicant will also provide therapeutic supervision to one, or more, of our associate counsellors and actively participate in peer supervision.
The service operates evening sessions on a Tuesday (6pm) and Wednesday (7pm). It is envisaged that the successful candidate will also offer evening appointments.
The service has a stepped care model of service delivery.
