Job Title: Field Collections Agent/Bailiff.

Location: South. Covering postcodes: BH, GU, KT, PO, RG, RH, DT, SW, SL, SO, TW

Salary: £18K plus bonus/commission. OTE of £30,000. Average earnings £27,000. Plus flexible benefits package.

Our client requires a Field Collection Agent/Bailiff to cover the above postcodes. Ideally you will be located centrally.

This is a field based role and you will be required to visit customers for the purposes of negotiating payment of overdue accounts, or to collate information regarding the customer through routine enquiries, or to engage with the customer to understand what is preventing payment. You will need to be target driven as you will work on a salary and performance related bonus/commission structure. Applicants must be flexible with regards to the hours of work and must possess strong communication and negotiation skills with the ability to show empathy whilst being assertive. Ideally you will be a Certificated Bailiff and hold a clean driving licence.

Main duties

• Visiting customers in arrears


• Trace and investigation visits to sites where customers have left owing money to our client


• Dealing with customer queries


• Dealing with customer complaints


• Providing daily reports


• Attending Court to apply for a warrant of entry


• Attending the supply address to disconnect the property


• Attending charging order hearings


• Complete asset assessments as part of a pre and post litigation process

• A skilled communicator with the ability to empathise with people in often difficult financial situations


• Strong influencing and negotiating skills with the drive to achieve results


• Professional and knowledgeable


• High standards of organisation and accuracy


• Well-presented and personable


• Self motivated


• Target driven, used to working to achieve KPI’s


• Commercial utility experience, with an understanding of Disconnection processes an advantage.


• At least one years’ experience in a field based collections environment.
