Project Assistant, Visitor Experience - The Royal Opera House - London
£25,000 per annum (full-time), fixed-term until March 2018 Open Up is an architectural project at the Royal Opera House that aims to enhance the experience of coming to the ROH for audiences, artists and guest companies. From 2016, OpenUp will impact audiences attending performances. The Project Director – Visitor Experience, has overall responsibility for ensuring that these impacts are minimized and that alternative facilities and staffing arrangements are in place to ensure the best possible visitor experience during the works. Alongside this work, the Project Director is responsible for developing a post project operating model and to design and test revised services to support the new building and programme. We are now seeking an experienced and proactive Project Assistant to provide high-level administrative support to the Project Director and Project Manager – Visitor Experience. The role encompasses a range of administrative tasks and project duties to ensure that the operational side of the project is supported and runs smoothly. This is an exciting opportunity to support a major capital and change project to transform the Royal Opera House. The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate the following: A proven track record in administration in a busy office environment. Ability to work without supervision and to take initiative as appropriate, taking responsibility and making informed decisions under pressure. Strong organisational and administrative skills,with experience of diary management. Very competent Microsoft Office user, with strong Excel skills. Excellent people and relationship building skills, with the ability to operate successfully with people at all levels. Strong communication skills with a high standard of written and verbal English.
