Our client, a small but expanding college based in London who specialise in online education are looking to recruit a Deputy Director of Education on a permanent basis.

The successful candidate would be required to:

• Work with the team to develop practice based online courses, write learning objectives and develop core course materials that are innovative and engaging


• Work closely with subject matter experts (SMEs) to identify educational needs and develop content


• Work with technology specialists, SMEs and instructional designers to develop all of the components of the online courses


• Design material that presents information in a way that is easily understood by a wide variety of students


• Research new technologies to assist in the team’s continued improvement of content development processes and standards, recommending changes required to match or surpass e-learning industry standards


• Perform regular reviews of content for accuracy and relevance


• Maintain familiarity with current texts, published materials, teaching aids and techniques relative to courses within the areas of contemporary health and recommend their adoption when appropriate.

Personal qualities:

• Experience of HE and course design


• Strong management skills, including managing budgets and scheduling


• Familiar with web based systems and tools, database management tools, authoring tools and platform functionality in order to help drive digital product development


• Excellent written and oral communication skills


• Completion of tasks and projects in a timely manner


• Attention to detail and the ability to complete thorough and accurate work

Required qualifications & experience:

PhD

Health / Science background

Higher Education: 4 years (desirable)

You will be offered a salary of £35k – £45k depending on experience.
