Project Manager (12 month FTC) - Viacom International Media Networks - London
It is highly desirable that this person have proven experience in the broadcast/media industry leading projects of a technical nature.
Job Key Responsibilities
The Project Manager will have responsibility to:
- Plan resources and execute projects to time and to budget.
- Liaise constantly with the various digital brand teams & stakeholders to ensure requirements are discussed, captured and planned, to understand business drivers and priorities, and to build a close working relationship with business stakeholders and the technical/engineering teams.
- Be embedded with the MTS engineering and technical teams, working closely to gain an in-depth understanding of technical requirements and complexities, and closely drive task/project planning, prioritisation and delivery.
- Establish trust and credibility from business stakeholders, understanding business drivers/justification and challenging where appropriate to drive efficiency and innovation.
- Provide regular reporting and updates to stakeholders, sponsors, managers and peers.
- Drive delivery from external partners and agencies and maintain contracts and relationships with external suppliers.
- Build and maintain close working relationships with counterpart Viacom broadcast operational and technology teams based in Amsterdam & the US.
- Provide a broad strategic perspective across both the Technical and Business communities, and lead and facilitate decision-making.
Job Role Skills
Project Manager with extensive experience delivering complex technical implementation projects to time and to budget
Experience managing projects in Waterfall and/or Agile (or Hybrid) delivery methodologies
Knowledge of broadcast/media business models and workflows
Knowledge of broadcast/media asset management and workflow technologies
Experience managing pan-global cross-functional/department relationships
Is able to effectively plan, forecast and track budget & resource
Experience managing multiple, diverse, challenging, competing Stakeholder groups
Excellent time management, prioritisation and organisational skills
Empathic and compelling communication, negotiation and influencing skills
Constructive, pragmatic and proactive approach to coming up with Solutions
Understanding of linear and non-linear broadcast media business models (inc. VOD)
Understanding of engineering/development technologies and methodologies
Understanding of broadcast media technical delivery processes and content supply chain
