We are seeking experienced Senior Integration Technologists to join this IT Consultancy’s expanding team and get involved in the delivery of one of their interesting development opportunities. Despite this role having a bias towards Integration technologies, all of the team are first and foremost engineers, putting Software Engineering and professionalism at the heart of delivery. Main Purpose of Role
• You will work in cross discipline, agile and distributed teams within the UK to deliver solutions to large corporate clients across multiple sectors
• You will be responsible for shaping the solution and leading the technical delivery of high quality enterprise integration solutions that meet the demanding challenges on usability, resilience, performance, scalability and security
• You will be working in a community of Software Engineers and help contribute to the continuous improvement of the development process, practices, tools and techniques
• You are expected to be fully UK mobile and when necessary required to work away from home (Monday to Friday)
• You will be expected to cooperate with government security checks for certain types of projects (e.g. SC clearance)
• You will be expected to mentor those less experienced than you and share your knowledge and experience with those around you, both within and outside of the company
Skills and experience required:
• Experience of working as a Senior Technologist, shaping the solution and leading technical delivery of large / complex enterprise integration solutions
• Excellent knowledge of Java (up to and including Java 9) and open source technologies and frameworks
• Deep understanding of the core XP practices of TDD, Pair Programming, and CI/CD
• In-depth knowledge using open source integration technologies, specifically one or more of Mulesoft, WSO2, Spring Integration, Camel or JBoss Fuse
• Solid understanding of RESTful API development and JSON
• Experience of working in agile teams and working in an agile manner in a commercial environment
• Good awareness of Dev Ops – including Continuous Integration and Delivery using agile Configuration Management, Environment Management, Release Management practices
• Contributions to the open source development community: Blog posts, conference presentations, open source contributions
You must have been resident in the UK for at least 3 years in order for the relevant security clearance to be obtained.
