Finance Assistant - East London Arts and Music - London E15

This is a 0.6 FT role
The working pattern and days worked will be agreed with the successful candidate – this may be worked as three days of 7.5 hrs with a half hour unpaid lunch break, or, for example, as five shorter days.
Salary is £10,680 per annum (Full Time Equivalent: £17,800)


Role responsibilities


  • To provide financial support to the Senior Leadership Team at ELAM

  • To process incoming invoices, matching to orders, entering the data on ELAM’s financial system (Dimensions for Academies), dealing with any budget holder and supplier queries.

  • Produce regular reports of income and expenditure for budget holders

  • Filing and maintaining accurate and detailed record for audit

  • Supporting the development of policies and procedures across ELAM

  • Entering and processing data using standard software packages

  • To cover reception as and when required

  • To model ELAM’s values

  • To undertake any other duties or one-off tasks at the reasonable request of the Senior Leadership Team

Experience


  • Experience of business and financial administration

  • Experience of working with young people (desirable)

  • Experience of working in a values driven environment (desirable)

Skills


  • Excellent attention to detail

  • Numerate

  • Excellent organisation and planning skills

  • ICT proficiency and an understanding of how to use database and word processing software. ELAM uses Dimensions for Academies financial software
