Lecturer/Senior Lecturer in Psychology
Background
Applications are invited for the post of lecturer/senior lecturer in Psychology tenable from 1st April 2016. Psychology is located within the School of Psychology, Politics and Sociology, itself part of the Faculty of Social and Applied Sciences. We are an outward-looking school with an applied ethos, committed to high quality teaching and learning supported by a base of research and scholarly activity. As a subject team, we are inspired by the impact of Psychology on the real world and aim to benefit individuals and the community through our teaching, research and knowledge exchange activity. The Role
The successful applicant will join a team of tutors engaged in the delivery of high quality undergraduate and postgraduate programmes in Psychology, with a particular contribution to project supervision and teaching of core/option modules in their relevant area. The appointee will also be expected to contribute to on-going curriculum development and delivery at Master’s level, and to assume additional administrative and/or representative roles in the team, School and Faculty as appropriate.
Requirements
Applicants should have a doctorate in Psychology, an emerging record of research and publications, and ideally experience of teaching in the university sector. We are looking to appoint one person with relevant research/practitioner experience in an applied area, and research interests in the area of developmental / educational psychology. Evidence of previous research funding, knowledge exchange, and/or clinical experience will be an advantage.
