We are currently recruiting experienced Bus controller to join a blue chip bus operator in London. Successful candidates will join a friendly and welcoming team.

The role involves;

• Supervising drivers so that this group of staff operate their buses according to schedules and abide by Company rules. This will include interrogating computer systems to report service quality data and submitting disciplinary reports when necessary.


• Communicating between the drivers and management at the garage


• Ensuring duty runs smoothly


• Pro rota shifts (This will involve day & night shifts)


• Dealing with the public


• Handling emergency situations such as accidents and emergency road closures


• Liaison with the police, highway authorities and London Buses to ensure that delays are minimised during periods of disruption such as road closures


• Liaison with engineering staff to ensure the highest quality of service, and that disruption due to defective vehicles is minimised.


• Ensuring that Drivers’ Hours Regulations, health and safety rules and other relevant legislation is observed.


• Direct supervision, using IBus technology, to ensure that regular and reliable bus services are operated, with no avoidable gaps, bunching and early running.

Suitable Candidates must:

• Have a valid PCV/PSV (D) license


• Have a full CPC


• Previous controller experience


• Previous bus driving experience


• Excellent customer sevice skills


• Have no more than 6 points on driver’s license (No DRs, CDs and TT99)
  Good knowledge of Central London (preferred but not essential)
