This is an exciting opportunity to join a B2B and B2C publishing company as an Events Assistant in their Business Media department. Reporting to the Events Manager, you will help implement and deliver a range of events and awards across the company portfolio.
Responsibilities of the Events Assistant
– Monitoring and updating events’ websites
– Organise and implement email campaigns, generating entries and bookings
– Monitor entry responses, researching potential applicants and collating entries
– Updating event databases, keeping figures up to date
– Contacting and liaising with shortlisted companies
– Co-ordinate all table bookings, organising collecting and chasing guests and attending events where necessary
– Proofing and sending out event and post event collateral
– Taking meeting minutes and typing up and distributing post meeting
Requirements of the Events Assistant
– Confident and driven individual with strong communication skills looking to forge a career in events
– Proven ability to manage multiple campaigns and clients in a busy pressured environment
– 1-2 years experience in events
– Experience working on email marketing, email merges, websites and fully competent with Microsoft Office
– Keen and able to build strong relationships in the events industry
