Part Time : 21.9 hours per week (60% FTE)


The appointment will be on UCL Grade 6. The salary range will be £29,485 per annum ,Pro-rata inclusive of London Allowance.


Applications are invited for a Research Assistant post in the Developmental Risk and Resilience Unit in the Research Department of Clinical Educational and Health Psychology at UCL (http://www.ucl.ac.uk/clinical-psychology/Research-Groups/DVR/index.htm The role will involve working on an ESRC Research funded project: “Risk and Resilience Following Childhood Maltreatment: A Longitudinal Investigation” held by Prof Eamon McCrory (PI) and Prof Essi Viding (Co-I).


Responsibilities will include recruitment and testing of adolescent participants, data entry and analysis, preparing data for publication. The primary aim of the study is to investigate the neurocognitive impact of maltreatment on emotional and memory systems in children.


This post is funded for 12 months in the first instance.


Applicants must have EITHER a first class undergraduate degree in psychology or neuroscience OR a 2:1 in an undergraduate degree in psychology or neuroscience AND masters level study in a relevant subject area. The candidate needs to be able to work effectively in a busy team environment and have excellent communication skills.
